Alvin Kamara’s mother is Adama Kamara who is a native of Liberia. However, there is no information available about his father.
The fact that Kamara’s father disappeared when he was a little child is one of the things that has strengthened his resilience in facing challenges in the real world. Kamara was raised by his mother alone in the Georgian city of Norcross. He is one of his mother’s two children. Adama left Liberia when the first Librarian war broke out, even though he was born there.

Adama Kamara’s other child Garmai K. Momolu has always been Alvin Kamara’s best friend since childhood. The only person, he says, who knows about his plans before he does is his sister. Alvin never knew his father’s love, but his mother showed him the same love that both of his parents gave him when it was necessary.

In 2017, Alvin Kamara was named the NFL Rookie of the Year. In addition, he has made the All-Pro second team twice and the Pro Bowl five times. The mother of the Saints running back is not well-documented on the internet. She has always kept the public in the dark about her personal and professional lives. However, she has a great influence in her son’s life as we get to see from a social media post of Kamara.

Kamara posted pictures of the home he claims his grandfather hand-built sixty years ago on Instagram. Adama, his mother, his brother, his grandmother, and his uncles, aunts, and cousins were all with him. “Sixty sumthin (sic) years later this house is still standing and this land still belongs to our family,” he wrote. “My grandmother is still living on this same property holding everyone together. Simultaneously her prayers are protecting and guiding us all. Amazing!” He further added, “To my Mom; I don’t take being your son for granted because I know what you had to overcome for me to be here. Thank you forever.”

Besides visiting his ancestral home, Kamara also had other plans. In Paynesville, a suburb of Monrovia, the nation’s capital, Kamara took a tour of the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex. To discuss the situation of youth and sports programs in Liberia, he had a visit with representatives from the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

He claimed his journey was essential to learning firsthand about the sports practiced in Liberia and to figuring out how he and his business partners might contribute to the growth of sports in his own nation.
