He served as the technical support supervisor for design analysis at Ford for 24 years. He has been the most supportive father to his NFL son throughout his life journey.

Meanwhile, Allen’s mom, Tracie Robinson, is his biggest cheerleader. Besides being a wife and mom, she is a career-oriented personality. She was deeply involved in academics and sales. She served in luxury retail when he was a kid and also worked at St. Mary in 2017. Tracie and her husband, Robinson Sr., often traveled to Chicago to cheer their son from the stands during his home games with the Bears.

Allen shares a healthy and wholesome relationship with his mom. The mother-son duo has gone viral on the internet many times before. A few months ago, in May 2024, on the occasion of Mother’s Day, Allen Robinson II shared a heartfelt post on his Instagram account. Accompanied by breathtaking pictures of his mom. The caption grabbed much attention and melted fans’ hearts. “My mom’s my first fan,” it read. Moreover, with his mom, he also included his wife in his post. “Happy Mother’s Day to these ladies,” he mentioned in his post caption.

Not only this, his mom also gained much attention for participating in the community event, “My Mom’s My First Fan.” This event focused on paying homage to the real MVPs of black families – the matriarchs. Tracie collaborated with this event to celebrate Detroit’s grassroots community. The annual event takes place in Detroit during the draft season, to honor the Football Moms of Metro-Detroit, giving them due credit for their hard work.

The Athletic, Robinson is grateful to his parents for helping him recognize the importance of education along with sports. They gave him the impetus to get his degree from Penn State. In 2018, his dad reflected on his maturity and academic drive. “I’ve been on him since his first year,” he stated. He continued, “Over the last couple of years, he’s gotten more serious about it. Neither of us wanted him to leave. I wanted him to stay and finish because kids don’t understand, a full Division I scholarship is amazing.”

Besides his academic career, Allen Robinson Sr. also feels proud of his son’s NFL accomplishments. In 2014, when Jacksonville drafted him as the 2 round pick, no one was as proud as his dad. He revealed his elation after his son was blessed with a golden opportunity. “I’ve always sat down and talked to him and he realizes his path, how things went for him. Everybody doesn’t have that opportunity,” he remarked.

Besides this, Robinson Sr. recalled that Allen really “realizes the fact, too. … I think he realized this is a golden opportunity and I tell him, you’ve gotta share that. You’ve gotta share that opportunity. It’s a total blessing.”
