The Seattle Seahawks without doubt were sure what they were on to when they drafted Zach Charbonnet in the 2023 NFL Draft. The second-round, 52nd overall pick comes with a solid collegiate career. Well, not with the Michigan Wolverines, but with the UCLA Bruins. And what was that about, you ask? Well, standing at 6’1” and weighing over 200 pounds, Charbonnet thrashed the opponents in his junior and senior years at UCLA.

Let’s just take a quick look at his college football record. In his senior year, he rushed for his career-high 198 yards and racked up a touchdown in a win over Utah. Why stop at one when you can do it twice, right? Well, the running back took it seriously. He tied his career-high 198 yards and this time he racked up 3 TDs against Stanford. Now, if that didn’t catch the pro scout’s eyes, then what will, right Seahawks?

Well, if you ask where those NCAA records landed Charbonnet, then it’s safe to say that the young RB landed safely. Charbonnet signed a $6.8 million contract with the Seattle team back in 2023. That’s a pretty chunk of change for a rookie, right? Well, this rookie contract shot up his net worth to get out of the park. Now that we’re almost done with 2024, Zach’s estimated net worth is over $6 million.

So, since we’re on the topic of 2024, let’s see how much he’s actually pocketing this year. The contract terms included a solid $2 million signing bonus, and no matter what happens in the ongoing seasons, Charbonnet is set to earn around $3.8 million in guarantees. Now, looking at an average annual salary of $1.7 million. And in 2024, Zach’s taking a base salary of $1 million. It’s decent for a rookie, but Zach must be waiting for some bigger numbers.

Well, for the performance that the Seahawks drafted the 23-year-old RB, he delivered it. As a rookie, Zach appeared in every but one game and started three for the Seattle team. Racking up his first NFL TD against the Dallas Cowboys, he finished his season on a decent note with over 450 rushing yards. On top of that, the guy added 33 receptions and racked up over 200 receiving yards.

How long is the Seahawks RB’s contract?

Though this year marks his second with the Seahawks, the Seattle fans will watch Charbonnet rushing some yards and racking some RD for two more years. Yeah, that’s right. Zach signed a 4-year contract with the Seahawks back in 2023 and he’s all in delivering his best. Rookie season’s done? The number 26 entered the gridiron with high hopes from the roster.
