This year, his base salary stands at $26 million. With such high payouts till 2029, he has established his financial health.

Buccaneers’ GM has further stated the reason behind his high-profile deal, stating, “Tristan Wirfs is not just a cornerstone for our offense but a leader in the locker room.” With his deal, it averages a sum of $28.125 million annually, establishing his dominance at the left tackle position.

His five-year contract extension, which he signed in 2024 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, guarantees him a hefty contract through 2029. Earning $140.625 million through his extension fully guarantees him $52.244 million with $88.244 million for injury. From 2025 to 2027, he will earn $26 million annually in base salaries. While his cap hits will increase between these years, it will drop a bit in 2029.

However, the deal also includes an option to release Wirfs after 2026, which will help them save around $78.2 million in the last three years.
