In the same year, the Philadelphia Eagles visited the newly minted stadium for a clash against the Chiefs. Despite being two of the oldest teams in the NFL, plying their trade before the merger. The Chiefs and the Eagles haven’t had much game time together. However, that has changed recently as both teams are at their zenith in the current era.
The Eagles soar at the Arrowhead

In that 1972 game, the Eagles handed a loss to the Chiefs by 21-20. The Chiefs managed to get their revenge 20 years later at the Arrowhead when they outclassed the Eagles 24-17. These teams had to wait another almost 20 years for their next meeting at Arrowhead Stadium. In that game, the Philly team conquered the city of Kansas as they defeated the home team, 23-10. For their next game, they didn’t have to wait that long!

The Eagles soared once again at Arrowhead Stadium in 2005 defeating the Chiefs 37-31. But 12 years later Chiefs finally turned their game around winning 27-20. Historically, the Eagles do have an advantage on the turf of the Chiefs. Leading 3-2, but that is not the case in their overall games.

Overall, both teams have met just 10 times and the Chiefs have won 6 of those meetings. Also, the superstar QBs for both teams; Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts have only participated in the last two games. Both times, the Chiefs came out victorious, the last being Super Bowl LVII, the Chiefs won by 38-35. Now they will face once again for Monday Night Football. The monumental clash will happen on 20th November, scheduled for 7:15 PM CST kick-off.
