Luckily, Dowdle appeared in 16 games last season, rushing for 361 yards and averaging 4.1 yards per carry.

Seems like Jerry Jones’ team doesn’t plan to let him go anytime soon. After his one-year extension wrapped up, the 26-year-old renewed his contract—again—in March 2024, raking in a solid $1.25 million a year. His updated contract has a base salary of $1,055,000 plus a $200k signing bonus. But will he be signing another contract come next season? Or is he spending 2025 with the Cowboys only?

When Tony Pollard parted ways with the Cowboys, the management reached out to Dowdle and that’s why his contract was renewed. Yeah, the one where he scored his first TD this season. He finished with 112 rushing yards, putting up an average of 5.1 yards per attempt.
