What is Rick Lovato’s religion?

Rick Lovato’s faith in God has always been his guiding light. When he remained undrafted in 2015, and his NFL stints remained brief with the Packers and Washington Redskins, he found respite in his faith. Rick even remarked, “What He did for our sins, is something that I will always be in debt of,” as mentioned in CHVN Radio’s article from Feb 2025. And it never fails to help him stay stable and grounded.

Drawing strength from faith, it led him to the Eagles, guiding him to the Super Bowl. Prior to Super Bowl LII, he remarked that whatever he has achieved, it is not just his hard down, but his faith played an equally crucial role. He even added, “Yeah, I teared up a little bit, knowing everything that I had been through. A first-year guy playing in a Super Bowl, it’s unbelievable. Literally, you cannot make it up.”

In 2024, with the birth of his son, Fredric “Freddie” Jonah Lovato, Rick thanked the Gods and his family for it. He even shared on his IG post, “Fredric ‘Freddie’ Jonah Lovato arrived 2 weeks early on 10/10 – named after his grandpa in heaven.” The name “Jonah” in his son’s name is also a heartfelt tribute to his dad.
