Since entering the NFL in 2022, Jerome Ford has always played the role of a backup in Cleveland. With star running back Nick Chubb starting ahead of him, Ford never really got the position for himself. However, he has always remained a trusted player every time Chubb has gone down injured.

Just take a look back in 2023, when Chubb’s season ended because of a knee injury in week 2. Ford was the man the Browns relied upon, as he finished with 813 rushing yards and four rushing TDs to his name. Well, this season, Ford has yet again found himself doing the same as Chubb suffered a broken foot in week 15. So, if you are a Browns fan, you might see a lot of Jerome in the coming weeks. This could make you wonder how much the 25-year-old earns in Cleveland.

What is Jerome Ford’s net worth?

As per Ford’s 4-year rookie deal, his net worth could be around $3.9M. Not bad for a player who has usually been overlooked whenever Chubb has been healthy. But right now, that will not be the case, as Ford will surely help the Browns finish their embarrassing season on a strong note.

Well, he wouldn’t really be a bad option for the Browns, will he? Judging by the way he has performed until now, the former fifth-rounder has done more than enough. He has racked up 451 rushing on just 87 carries. And that’s not where his numbers have stopped. Ford also has 2 TDs to his name. So he surely deserves more than $3.9M of what he is earning through his rookie contract. Just look at his signing bonus of $322,148. Is that really justifiable, considering his importance to the Browns? No, right. Then what will you say about his annual salary? It is nowhere near what Ford produces for the Browns.

How much is Jerome Ford’s salary?

Cleveland witnessed for a moment what Jerome Ford was capable of against the Chiefs. On the day when they lost their star RB and rushed for only 139 yards, Ford amounted to 84 of those. He even completed a 62-yard rushing TD to help the Browns open their column on Sunday. If he didn’t manage to convert that opportunity, who knows? Maybe the Browns would have finished with zero points. Because, honestly, they didn’t look like scoring one bit.

This makes us wonder if Ford’s average annual salary of $995,537 is really justified. Well, probably not and his $322,148 guaranteed looks even worse. But for now, Ford has to continue his Browns tenure on the rookie contract he signed in 2022. And if he continues to impress in Chubb’s absence. Who knows, maybe the Browns will reward him with a good deal by the end of 2026. Yes, that’s when Ford’s current deal will expire, and he will hit unrestricted free agency.
