Born to Averion and Pamela Hurts on August 7, 1998, Jalen Hurts is super proud of his culture and heritage. As an African-American person, the Eagles quarterback is a role model for kids of the ethnicity to pursue their dreams. And on top of that, Jalen created history by becoming the newest Black starter quarterback in a Super Bowl, adding an important chapter to his culture.

And interestingly, Hurts learned from the best! His father, Averion Jr. is a football coach who himself introduced the quarterback to the sports world.
