Wide receivers set the pace in gridiron football. The lean, muscular sprinters make the pitch look so small as they cover yards like a sports car on nitro. A good WR and a quality quarterback will split the opposition defense apart. The Philadelphia Eagles have had the privilege of sending out superb WRs over the years, but the one that takes the cake is DeVonta Smith.
A familiar name for NFL fans, DeVonta Smith is one of the best wide receivers to play for the Eagles. The Alabama collegiate was picked in the 1st Round, 10th pick of the 2021 NFL Draft and since then he has been one of the best wide receivers in the League. The 26-year-old has already earned many accolades to his name and has become a fan favorite, in Philly. As his brand value has soared, so has his stature, and his monetary numbers will certainly be a head-turner.

DeVonta’s current contract lasts till 2028, after the 75-million dollar renewal. Overall, he has cost the Eagles almost 100 million dollars, but the Eagles know it’s been worth it.
