The rookie said, “To be a great leader, you’ve got to learn how to follow first. The player’s father, Carl Williams, belongs to the African-American ethnicity, while his mother, Dayne Price, is believed to be a native of Hispanic descent.

And here is the kicker, Williams describes himself as a Native American and African American, showing how proudly he embraces different cultures. The rookie identifies himself as a Christian. The 2022 Heisman Trophy winner never hesitates to show his faith in God. And interestingly, while accepting the award, Williams expressed gratitude for the Catholic education from his days at a Jesuit all-boys school.

And there is an interesting twist. Caleb Williams has sports in his genes. While Papa Williams was a football player while studying at Oklahoma State University, Mama Williams played college volleyball at the University of Maryland.

Caleb Williams is taking baby steps at a time. He said, “For right now though, I’m listening more than I’m speaking and talking. And I’m taking it one step at a time.” The ‘superman’ has truly proved his talent and skills during preseason. And with his first game today, it is yet to be seen what the future holds for the No.1 Pick!
