Knowing how that Week 4 game went, we wanted to get back at them. Thankfully, we did.” That’s what Bills TE Dawson Knox said after crushing the Ravens’ Super Bowl hopes in a nail-biter. To set the scene, the Ravens beat the Bills 35-10 in Week 4. And ever since, the Bills had been waiting for their shot at revenge. They finally got it on Sunday. Back to Knox, the TE  has become a huge part of the Bills’ offense, and he’s proving why he’s such a key player.

It’s Dawson’s sixth season with the Bills, and his contract extension is proof that the Bills are pretty confident in their tight end’s skills. And there’s no way they’re thinking of parting ways with him anytime soon.

The Mississippi alum has secured his spot on the Bills’ roster, and it’s his performances that keep backing him up. Knox’s stats are the reason why, in 2022, he was one of the highest-paid TEs in the league. The 28-year-old’s net worth is estimated to be around $53.2 million. The Bills star has earned most of it through his NFL career, along with the brand endorsements that NFL players typically land. Woah! That’s a ton of money.

The 2022 Pro Bowl player is all set to face off against the Chiefs in the Conference Championship. Last season, the Steelers knocked them out in the Wild Card Round, but this time, they’re determined to grab those Super Bowl rings. Last year, Dawson signed another contract extension with the Bills. During this period, he will earn a base salary of $8.85 million and a workout bonus of $250K. He’ll receive an average salary of $9.83 million. Knox is set to pocket a $250K workout bonus this year, adding to his already impressive financial win. When he signed with the Bills, he locked in a $12.75 million deal—talk about a smart play for long-term security.

Dawson Knox has been with the Bills since the start of his career. Knox had a rough rookie season, and when things couldn’t get worse, he got hit with a COVID-19 diagnosis in 2020. But by November, the TE was back in action, and since then, he’s carved out a solid role in the Bills’ offense. The team hasn’t budged on him either—no trades, no release talks (clearly, they know what they’ve got). It’s clear that Buffalo sees Knox as a crucial piece of their puzzle.

The Bills have doubled down on Dawson Knox, locking him in with two contract extensions -one in 2022 and another just last year. His latest deal is worth $29.5 million, including a solid $5.84 million signing bonus. Over time, his base salary keeps climbing, $8.75 million in 2025 and $9.91 million in 2026. He will hit free agency in 2027. But here’s the twist: Buffalo drafted Dalton Kincaid in 2023 to beef up their tight-end depth. Fun fact -Kincaid was the only TE taken in the first round that year. With Kincaid in the mix, it makes you wonder, are the Bills planning to extend Knox past 2026, or will they pass the torch? Only time will tell. For now, Dawson Knox remains in Buffalo’s camp, likely gearing up for his next big challenge against the Chiefs.
