“I was always taught to be hungry and humble.” Said Amari Cooper, Bills’ star wide receiver. He started his journey with the Oakland Raiders in 2015 and hasn’t looked back since then. From getting a 5-time Pro Bowl selection to becoming the first Browns wide receiver with multiple 1,000-yard Seasons, Amari has shown immense growth over the years.
All this being said, but is he making that count in terms of money? This is the kind of question that usually looms in the fans’ minds. As he’s nearing his contract closure with the Bills.
What is Amari Cooper’s net worth?

It is tough to quote an exact number, as there isn’t any official disclosure regarding his net worth. But his estimated net worth in 2025 could be around $60 million. Considering his career earnings from NFL contracts alone are approximately $116 million. After taxes, agent fees, and investments, this number could be around his total net worth. His actual journey began when he signed his rookie deal with the Oakland Raiders in 2015. The contract? A solid $22.6 million over four years, including a hefty $14.7 million signing bonus. These early numbers set the tone for his earnings throughout his career.
His income isn’t just from football, though. Endorsements with major brands like Nike and Panini add to his financial portfolio. Not only this, Amari is also into social causes. He’s also actively involved with The Literacy Lab, helping young students improve their reading skills.
What is the Bills’ wide receiver’s salary?
Amari Cooper’s salary for the 2024-25 season is roughly $806,667. This is the prorated portion of his $1.21 million base salary for the remainder of the season. The Bills will not be taking on much of Cooper’s contract, as Cleveland is responsible for his signing bonus and any dead cap on his deal.
But there’s more to it. There are some performance-based incentives for him. He’ll get a million dollars for First-Team All-Pro honors. After achieving that, he can get half a million dollars for making the Second-Team All-Pro. And then he can avail a million dollars more for hitting 1,251 receiving yards in a single season.
Previously, he had signed a five-year, $100 million contract with the Dallas Cowboys in 2020. This deal included a $10 million signing bonus and $60 million guaranteed, giving him an average annual salary of $20 million. But the contract came to an end when he was traded to the Browns in 2022.
How Long is Amari Cooper’s Contract?
The Bills signed him for a six-week-long contract this season. With this short-term deal with the bills coming to an end soon, he will become an unrestricted free agent (UFA) after this season. There might be an extension based on his performance, but there’s no clarity yet on whether the Bills are looking in that direction.

Looking at his recent performances, there are plenty of good appearances scored by him. One was against the Rams where he had his best performance, hauling in 95 yards on 14 targets. Also, Amari had a decent game against the 49ers, making a crucial lateral to Josh Allen, resulting in a touchdown. The only exception would be the week 18 matchup against the Jets, which he missed for personal reasons. He finished the regular season with 547 receiving yards, the lowest total of his career. He also suffered a wrist injury, making him miss out on 2 games.
So, looking at the numbers, if the Bills don’t extend the contract, there are plenty of teams that desperately need a wide receiver. Be it the New York Giants or even the Titans, they might target him after this season. So, there could be a tug-of-war coming soon for Cooper.
