Lamar Jackson made a big run just a few minutes ago, and as he stopped, the refs decided to stop the clock and called it an “administrative timeout.” Bayless posted on X, “I have never heard of an administrative time out. ” There are speculations as to why the refs made the particular decision, and some people are saying that someone flew a drone over the field, and the administration had to stop the clock.

It’s all on the spectrum, from the NFL being scripted to Roger Goodell needing a pee break. Whatever it is, many people have heard it for the first time in their lives. An account on X by the name of Sarah Spain started the debate when she posted, “What’s the reason for an administrative time out in the NFL? Wrong answers only.” She was possibly seeking banter-worthy answers and that is precisely what she received from the NFL community.

One fan replied, “Goodell had to pee”, while another one wrote, “Refs need to hear new Tay track that dropped”. 

Another fan replied, “Writers updating the script”.

The banter didn’t stop there as people were quick with witty responses such as, “The referee had Taco Bell for his pregame meal and needed to be rushed to the locker room”
