Can the Panthers bounce back from these injuries, or is their season already slipping away?

Mother nature has made WR Xavier Legette hold his horses. The 23-year-old rookie made waves with his unique celebration after his career’s first-ever TD in the Week 4 game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Sadly, he would now be forced to warm the bench. But what turned around for Legette? A breakdown of the Carolina Panthers‘ October 7 game will tell all about this.

The Carolina Panthers faced the Chicago Bears this Sunday at the Soldier Field stadium. Both teams were tied at 7-7 till the first quarter. The Panthers received their first blow when Legette got injured. He made a sudden exit following his shoulder injury in the 2nd quarter. Legette had a minimal impact against the Chicago before exiting in the second half. The rookie was targeted only once, making an eight-yard catch. While he’s out, Diontae Johnson and Jonathan Mingo will handle two wide sets.

The Panthers’ struggle with other key player injuries is quite hard. Tight End Tommy Tremble had a concussion during the game and was ruled out for the rest of it. OT Taylor Moton was also ruled out with an elbow injury. LB Jadeveon Clowney made an exit after injuring his shoulder from the ball on Swift’s 42-yard reception in the second quarter. C Austin Corbett also got biceps banged up.

Winning Bears got bruised too

The Soldier Field truly brought in home-field advantage for the Bears. They crushed the Panthers with a 36-10 score on Sunday. But they had their share of injuries as well. Their left guard, Teven Jenkins, had an ankle injury during the rush to win. He was questionable entering the game with a rib issue as well.

However, the injuries failed to damper the Chicago Bears’ winning streak. They now hold the longest active win streak at home with 8 straight wins at the venue. Their QB Caleb Williams had a production of two passing TDs and 304 yards, the best performance to date. RB Roschon Johnson made two rushing TDs.

The Bears continue to assert their dominance with Caleb Williams and Roschon Johnson, showcasing their offensive firepower. On the flip side, the road to recovery will be key for Legette, as the Panthers will need every weapon in their arsenal to turn their season around.
