The Kansas City Chiefs are doing everything they can to stop the Baltimore Ravens‘ run game. One player, Trent McDuffie isn’t cutting corners when it comes to keeping the men in purple out of the Chiefs territory. However, he might have over-exerted himself as he found himself on the sidelines, getting examined in the blue tent.

This happened when 7 minutes remained in the first quarter. Lamar Jackson passed the ball to Zay Flowers and McDuffie couldn’t let Flowers go any further. He had an upper hand on the Baltimore receiver and was about to take him down. But before he could do that, the safety Bryan Cook, who was also chasing down Flowers, collided head on with McDuffie.

The CB went to the blue tent and trauma experts checked his condition. The good news was, McDuffie returned in the game and was doing just fine. The bad news? He tried the same thing again with Zay Flowers, who was desperate to score a touchdown for his team.

It’s commendable how McDuffie ran into Flowers head on, collided with the Ravens receiver yet again and got him down. This time though, the play came as 9:40 remained in the second quarter. The Ravens were down by 7-10 at that point but they tried their best to cover the difference.

There have been some misses here and there and the Kansas City Chiefs’ offense has also struggled occasionally. Zach Orr, the Ravens DC, is leaving no stone unturned in showing off the Ravens’ defense and he’s doing everything in his power to stop Patrick Mahomes and Co.

The Baltimore Ravens’ defense weighed the Kanas City Chiefs down when they blitzed Patrick Mahomes and forced him to throw a pick. 1:47 remained in the second quarter when the 3x Super Bowl winner faced pressure and threw the ball down the field in haste. It was Roquan Smith who came up with the crucial pick during the Chiefs‘ 1 and 10 in the second quarter.

But this wasn’t the only problem. Travis Kelce also dropped a pass at a very crucial moment. However, it’s not all bad because Xavier Worthy got not one, but two touchdowns in the game. The rookie receiver ran for a 21 yard TD after a shovel pass from Mahomes. Worthy’s  first touchdown was a response to Derrick Henry, who scored a TD early on in the game with a 5-yard run. Later in the 4th quarter, Mahomes later threw a 47 yard deep ball to Worthy and it resulted in a touchdown.

But despite all this, the chiefs defense is doing a phenomenal job of stopping Lamar Jackson. Chris Jones really took the spotlight on himself after he caused the 2x MVP to fumble the ball and even sacked him once.
