The New York Jets dominated the Seahawks in the 1st quarter in today’s game, the Seahawks overshadowed the 2nd. But as excitement skyrocketed, important players suffered injuries. And Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner happened to be one of the victims. He was forced to exit Sunday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks.
The Jets #1 was injured and has been inducted into a questionable category. Sauce Gardner suffered a major hamstring injury and there is no sign of him coming back. Reportedly, Gardner got injured in the 4th quarter, before which the game was 21-16, favorable to the Jets. But things changed in mere 10 minutes.
Sauce Gardner has a hamstring injury. DJ Reed is out, too. Michael Carter is now on the field hurt.
So the #Jets are down their top three cornerbacks for this 4th & 1.
They really need their DL to keep getting after Geno Smith. McDonald has two sacks on the last two drives.

Unfortunately for the NY team, Sauce Gardner, D.J. Reed, and Michael Carter II all got hurt within said 10 mins. That’s a major setback for Gang Green. According to NFL reporter Connor Hughes, “They [Jets] need their DL to keep getting after Geno Smith. McDonald has two sacks on the last two drives.” The Jets literally lost their top 3 CBs in mere minutes.
But breathe a sigh of relief, Jets fans! Despite a concerning exit from Sunday’s game, reports suggest that Sauce Gardner’s injury isn’t as severe as initially feared. He may not miss significant time, which is a rare bright spot in an otherwise dismal season. With a 3-9 record and a third-place ranking in the AFC East, the Jets desperately need all hands on deck.

Sauce Gardner’s Injury: Woe to already struggling Jets
If you remember the stats, there is nothing on the Jets’ scoreboard after the second quarter. As already mentioned 1st quarter was controlled by the Jets. Even after the 2nd quarter, the Jets still had the chance, but things didn’t pan out favorably post that. It was like the Jets peaked for a quarter then went back to playing like they had been this whole season: straight up abysmal! After injuries to crucial players, the coin got flipped up and the Seattle Seahawks surpassed them in 4th quarter. And the question: How can one lose 21-7 lead like that?
Well, injuries really played a major role in the team’s loss today. I mean (keeping the losses aside) Sauce Gardner has had quite the season, including the current game where he defended 2 passes and had 3 tackles. This season, he had a total of 26 solo tackles and 10 assists with 1 sack. Not bad right!

For now, the Jets can only hope that Sauce Gardner can make a swift comeback from his injury. With a tough schedule ahead, the team will need all hands on deck to make a push for the playoffs. But then, with the rest of the team in shambles, there’s not much hope for the NY team, anyway.
