The New York Giants had an early start to the game for a change this time. However, not long after, found themselves short of a defensive tackle. Few minutes into the game, the New York Football Giants had to watch Rakeem Nunez-Roches leave and it might have come as a bit of a shocker for the New York team. So, what happened?
What happened to Rakeem Nunez-Roches?
Well, a couple of NFL analysts didn’t waste time in relaying the important update. One of those people were Dan Duggan on The Athletic, who took to X and noted, “DL Rakeem Nunez-Roches shaken up and walking off slowly with trainers.” However, Charlotte Carroll shed some more light on Nunez-Roches’ situation.

“Rakeem Nunez-Roches down kneeling on ground after that play. Getting attention from trainers as he’s down on right knee,” Carroll’s post on X said. But the Giants fans could breathe a sigh of relief because the veteran defensive tackle returned in the game shortly after in the next play.

However, it doesn’t seem like the NY team have used him all that much in this game. It’s not like the DT was a threat throughout the game as he only recorded just two tackles, none of them solo. However, the New York Giants’ defense did a pretty great job of containing the Dallas Cowboys tonight.
New York recorded a total of 53 tackles, 1 sack, three passes defended. Also, they had 5 tackles for losses and another three QB hits. Daniel Jones found himself in a crunch in the last few seconds of the game and throwing three back to back Hail Mary’s didn’t help.
What’s your perspective on:
Can the Giants' defense survive without Rakeem Nunez-Roches, or is this the beginning of the end?

What happened to Malik Nabers?
The receiver fought hard throughout the game. But couldn’t do much after the fourth down catch near the far sideline in the last quarter. The receiver landed on his head and it looked terrifying, to say the least. It’s almost as if you could hear the thud at the end of the screen. The medical staff attended to him and took him to the blue tent before he finally walked off to the locker room.
Nabers is declared to have a concussion and he might be out for the next four games or so. Before leaving, Nabers amassed 115 yards over 12 catches, but didn’t score a touchdown. In fact, the Giants didn’t score a touchdown throughout the game.

While the Giants wait for Nabers to heal, they still have to worry about the Seattle Seahawks, whom they are playing next.
