After eight weeks of enthralling NFL action, the Chiefs remain the only team undefeated this season. Extending their unbeaten record, the Chiefs are 7-0 after this week’s clash against the Raiders. Although the whole of Kansas City would be rejoicing in their latest win on the horizon, Nick Bolton might not be happy with himself.
Under all the confetti popping around the homes of Chiefs supporters, Nick Bolton may not be fortunate. Bolton may have suffered an injury, although there isn’t any official confirmation yet. Those who tuned in for the game might have seen the Chiefs’ LB scrambling to bring down Raiders RB Ameer Abdullah.
But in doing so, he may have hurt himself in the fourth quarter. As the cameras caught him struggling to get off the sidelines, Nick Bolton was found heading to the locker room to get himself evaluated. If his injury does get confirmed, it would be pretty bad for the Chiefs, as they are short of players this season.

Nick Bolton is having a brilliant season till week 8. He had 44 tackles so far, out of which 30 are solo. However, it didn’t stop the Chiefs from continuing their winning start to the season. They look like a team that has a winning mentality no matter what hurdles they face. And their hunger to keep fighting till the last minute is something that only the reigning Champions could relate to this season.
If not for Bolton, for their QB, Patrick Mahomes, it was indeed a special day as he recorded 7-0 for the first time in his career. Even Chiefs reporter Matt McMullen was over the moon about their latest win, “The Chiefs win, 27-20. Patrick Mahomes moves to 19-1 on the road against divisional opponents. The record is 7-0. Onward!” Well, the day got much better as Travis Kelce also had his best game yet this season.
Travis Kelce scores his first TD this year as Patrick Mahomes leads the Chiefs to a 7-0 start
Travis Kelce, who had faced a tough start to the season, was coming into the game with high hopes. And boy, he delivered! Kelce finished his afternoon with 10 receptions for 90 receiving yards. Well, of course, don’t forget the first TD he scored as fans rejoiced, “TRAVIS KELCE!!!! The first touchdown of the season on National Tight End Day.” While people celebrated his first end zone score, some of them believe that old Travis Kelce is back, “Travis Kelce is still that dude.”

But crediting only Kelce wouldn’t be right, as Mahomes must be praised as he finished with 262 yards, two TDs, and one interception by his name. However, the TD for which they combined in the second quarter marked the 52nd time they found each other in the end zone. And that takes them to 3rd among all the QB-TE pairs who have ever linked for TDs in NFL history.
Apart from the return of Kelce and Mahomes duo, the Chiefs may have found a gem in WR DeAndre Hopkins. Making his debut in Kansas City the former Titans man recorded 29 passing yards in two receptions. However, this is still low considering the output expected from receivers in Kansas City. Nick Bolton also had 7 tackles before the injury. The Chiefs are looking like a team that is growing stronger with each game.
