Can the Browns survive without Myles Garrett, or is their season doomed without their defensive powerhouse?

Cleveland‘s injury woes just cannot pass away! Coming into the game against the Giants, they had listed 14 players, 11 starters, on that injury list. And now, they have taken a blow with their defensive end, Myles Garrett.

It’s no shocker—they risked it for the biscuit, and it backfired. Right? Week 3 rolls in, and they put their strongest man, Myles Garrett, back on the line, even though he’s been nursing a foot injury since Week 1. Sure enough, it came back to haunt them.

Garrett limped off to the sidelines mid-game, leaving the Dawg Pound holding its breath. And, of course, Browns insider Mary Kay Cabot fueled the fire on X: “TV broadcast says calf injury for Myles Garrett, questionable to return.”

But here’s where Garrett’s grit kicks in. The three-time All-Pro wasn’t about to throw in the towel. With just over five minutes left in the half, he returned to the field. However, his return might have brewed concerns more than short-term joy. You’ve got to wonder—did he push himself too hard? Fans are definitely asking that question, especially when it looked like he might’ve made things worse for the rest of the season.

After his return, you could see him hobbling. And with hamstring injuries? Man, those things sneak up on you. Even so, Garrett still had some fight left, leading the defensive charge and pulling off a big sack in the second quarter. But was it worth it? The Dawg Pound’s definitely nervous, and for good reason.

Myles Garrett’s ‘feetless’ for the rest of the 2024 Season?

It wouldn’t make things any easier to hear that Myles Garrett, a future Hall of Famer in the making, has been battling injuries to both feet. “Don’t feel 100 percent but feel good enough to go out there and make a difference,” he said ahead of the week 3 clash against the Giants. And we’ve all seen how that panned out. He suits up, fights through the pain, and still manages to impact the game. But at what cost?

Garrett admitted on Friday that it’s not just one foot bothering him—it’s both. And that could be traced back to the surgeries he had as a kid to correct flat feet. Now, he’s hinting that this issue will probably follow him throughout the rest of his career. “Hopefully, the pain and everything else is something that we deal with and it goes away,” Garrett said, but there’s always that possibility of surgery down the road. You have to wonder, should he be pushing this hard?

The concern for Browns fans, especially after that hamstring scare against the Giants, is real. Garrett has been a powerhouse, with 90 ½ sacks in 102 career games, missing only one game in four seasons. He’s their defensive cornerstone, but how long can he keep this up? Will his body hold up for the rest of the season, or is Cleveland looking at a future without their star? Let us know what you think.
