What a heater of a matchup it was between the New York Jets and the New England Patriots. It looks like the Aaron Rodgers we so coveted are back again. A-Rod did his job well and the rest of the Jets defense pulled up, allowing the Pats to put just 3 points across the board. However, amidst a glorious win, there was one small hiccup.

The New York Jets offensive tackle Morgan Moses injured himself trying to protect Aaron Rodgers. Per Albert Breer’s post on X, “Jets OT Morgan Moses down and in a lot of pain, got rolled up on. First-round pick Olu Fashanu worked at both tackle spots this summer, would likely be the next man up at right tackle.”

What really happened was, Joshua Uche tried to make a play and he was successful in sacking Rodgers. However, Morgan Moses was caught up in it and Uche’s body rotated and rolled up the Jets’ offensive tackle’s leg. He went down and his agony was apparent. The medical staff attended to him, and he walked way on his own.

While he was being diagnosed in the medical tent, the rookie Olu Fashanu replaced him for the fourth quarter. The play was ruled as a personal foul on the offensive line, but we’re not sure whether that was a silver lining or not. Moses later headed to the locker room and was diagnosed with a left knee injury.

After the 24-3 win, the Jets HC Robert Saleh revealed that Moses, the 33-year-old will have his knee diagnosed on Friday to determine the full extent of the damage. However, the fact that he did walk off from the field on his own suggests that the nature of the injury was not that serious, and it won’t linger on in the future.

Fortunately, this was the only injury on the Jets roster. However, we can’t say the same about the Boston team.

The debilitated New England Patriots roster

On the Patriots side of the ball, left guard Michael Jordan took an injury to his left knee in the fourth quarter and didn’t return. Moreover, CB Alex Austin also found himself in a bit of a crunch after hurting his ankle. However, he is still an active member on the roster, unlike Michael Jordan.

But perhaps the most rousing injury was the one the Pats’ safety Jabrill Peppers suffered. Per Mike Reiss on X, “Jabrill Peppers looks like he was hit by friendly fire from Keion White and he limps off to the blue medical tent.” The safety left the game when his team was trailing 14-3 and his absence just enabled Aaron Rodgers to throw for 281 yards.
