The Kansas City Chiefs and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers game started with a bang. Unfortunately, the QB’s touchdown pass to Xavier Worthy got canceled because he was out of bounds. That was amazing to watch, but whatever. That wasn’t the only setback the Kansas City Chiefs suffered at the start of the game.
Things got slightly interesting when the Bucs got the ball and couldn’t make anything out of the possession. That’s when they decided to punt it and Mecole Hardman was the punt returner. He had a beautiful 33-yard return, but it came at a heavy cost. Apparently, the wide receiver got injured on the play.

Running by the highlights, Mecole Hardman ran along the sidelines but bumped into his teammate and fell to the ground. The only problem was, he landed on his shoulder and it looked gruesome. That was a significant impact he took on his shoulder and it might just make you go “Ouch.” The WR headed to the locker room after the injury in the early first quarter.

As reported by Laura Rutlidge in the game, Mecole Hardman suffered an injury in the right shoulder and was questionable to return to the game. At this point, the Chiefs should just prepare a roster of dispensable players. The way it’s phrased makes it sound impolite as if it’s been a frequent issue in the recent games.

Have an interesting take?
This is unfortunate news for the reigning Super Bowl champions, who are already playing without a couple of their difference-makers. Mecole Hardman also suffered a knee injury some time ago and is coming off the IR. In his absence from the game against the Bucs, Xavier Worthy might have to be the punt returner.
All you see are red markings when you look at the Chiefs roster. But amidst all this, they made a solid decision.

How Kansas City Chiefs bolstered Patrick Mahomes?
It’s not that hard to guess. The Chiefs recently signed DeAndre Hopkins, a 12-year veteran, who will make his Chiefs debut at the Arrowhead Stadium in the game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. By the start of the second quarter, Hopkins already had 4 receptions over 30 yards. The Chiefs don’t look shabby at all. However, the Chiefs touchdown that was canceled still hurts.
Hopkins immediately made a difference in the game and caught a major pass from Patrick Mahomes, as three defenders covered him. What a stellar catch! Mahomes then threw him a touchdown pass and safe to say Hopkins’ Chiefs debut was just swell. The Kansas City Chiefs already have played a couple of games without Rashee Rice, Isaiah Pacheco, Hollywood Brown, JuJu Smith-Schuster, and many others.
