Is Marvin Harrison Jr.'s injury the final nail in the Cardinals' coffin this season?

Taking on the Packers in Green Bay this week, the Cardinals were off to their worst start possible as they found themselves trailing by 24 points within the first half. Although there were chances of a comeback as the game went on, it was quickly overshadowed after their rookie receiver Marvin Harrison Jr left the field with a potential injury scare.

As the second quarter went on, Harrison was found facing difficulties getting up after his head collided with the thigh of the Packers LB Isaiah McDuffie. At first glance, it didn’t look good as the Cardinals WR made his way toward the medical tent for further evaluations. However, his return to the game is potentially ruled out after Harrison was found going back to the locker room, where shouts of concussion echo in Cardinals camp.

Well, if the 22-year-old is truly concussed, it would be a huge blow to the Cardinals this season. His four TDs and 279 receiving yards have played a massive role in the Cardinals continuing their charge toward a playoff berth this year. Those numbers might surprise you if you know that his team has only managed to score three TDs, leaving his four out of the equation.

However, entering his sixth week in the NFL, the No.4 overall draft pick this season has zero catches on two targets. Considering that he was evaluated for a concussion, the Cardinals’ WR was ruled out from further involvement in today’s clash. In his absence, Trey McBride could be the one stepping up to help out the Cardinals offense in the coming weeks. But Harrison wasn’t the only player who left the field playing for the Cardinals in Green Bay. As LB Kyzir White faced an early exit after his knee injury in the first half.

Marvin Harrison Jr joins Kyzir White to leave the Packers clash early this week

The Cardinals stunned the NFL after they recorded a huge victory over last year’s Super Bowl runner-up, the 49ers, in week 5. Having clinched the game by a narrow 1-point lead, White was adamant about his team’s mentality to keep fighting until the final whistle, “We came out here and we battled. We got punched in the mouth at times, but we kept punching back and ultimately came out with the win. Definitely proud of my guys, and I feel like it could still be a lot better.”

Although the Cardinals hoped to continue their momentum by taking on the Packers this week, those expectations may not have worked. As White left the game early with only three tackles to his name. His return to the game remains questionable, considering the knee injury he suffered today. Well, not having him on the roster would be a huge miss for the Cardinals, as the linebacker had 42 tackles entering his sixth week this season.
