Can the Giants survive without Malik Nabers, or is their season already in jeopardy?

The Week 4 of the league brought multiple flag incidents as well as injuries. The Dallas Cowboys were facing off against the New York Giants this Thursday on September 27, 2024. But the battle ground mainly seemed injury-prone in the second half, as back-to-back star players hit with injuries.

After Cowboys’ Micah Parsons and DeMarcus Lawrence got injured and taken to the medical room, the Giants next faced a brutal blow. And the last in the team to be hit was Malik Nabers.

During the fourth quarter in the game, as per the viral video posted by NFL Retweet on X, Malik Nabers was seen taken to the medical tent. He could be easily seen limping on the field with pain, after getting hurt during a critical fourth-down play. So, what happened was, the Giants were desperate to make a few scores as they were trailing behind the Cowboys. At that moment, quarterback Daniel Jones threw a pass toward the sideline, hoping Nabers could make a big play.

Although Nabers tried his best to stay inbounds, as he reached for the ball, his face mask slammed into the ground. The impact was very hard, and the ball popped loose, leading to an incomplete pass and a turnover on downs. At that moment, people just speculated that everything is fine with Malik Nabers. However, their concerns rose when the athlete just stayed on the ground for about a minute. Soon, medical staff rushed over, and he was eventually taken to the blue medical tent before heading to the locker room.

According to many reports, he was being checked for a head injury. And later, it was revealed that he had a concussion. As per update, via Deepak Chona, MD. Sports Medical Analyst, Malik Nabers was ruled out due to concussion. It was a tough end to the game for the explosive rookie, especially when he created history on Thursday.

Despite the team losing 15-20 to the Cowboys, the Giants rookie WR, Malik Nabers, created a history in Thursday Night Football. He caught 12 passes for 115 yards, bringing his season totals to “35 receptions, 386 yards, and three touchdowns in just four games.” With this performance, he set a new NFL record. Get this – he’s the first player ever to snag 25 catches and score 3 touchdowns in just his first four NFL games. Can you believe it? The guy hit that 25-catch mark early in the second quarter and just kept going. Talk about making a splash in the big leagues, right? He’s definitely turning some heads out there!

Now, although he left the game with an unfortunate concussion, the Giants are hoping for the best for the rookie. And fans are constantly praying for the athlete, as they all were astonished with his performance. Even coach Brian Daboll also didn’t shy away in praising the young receiver post-game. He said, “He’s [Malik Nabers] doing some good things. Glad we have him.”

The Giants now have 10 days before their next game against the Hawks. So, in the meantime, Malik Nabers is in the NFL’s concussion protocol, and is staying optimistic. This is evident from his latest Instagram post wherein he thanked everyone for their constant prayers, while giving a major update about his health – that he is good!
