Chicago Bears brought wide receiver Keenan Allen to their locker room in 2024. They needed a veteran WR who could strengthen the attack and provide support to their rookie quarterback Caleb Williams. With more than 10,000 receiving yards under his belt, Allen was supposed to play the role of major lead in the wide receiver department. Here’s a twist.
He looked doubtful about starting the season because of a heel injury. But the WR recovered on time. During the season opener against Titans, the Bears WR might have injured his right leg. Setback! On a 3rd and 2 pass by the signal caller, wide receiver Keenan Allen has come off the field limping. Is it serious? We have to wait for that! But fans were reminded of his heel injury. While the medical team gives an update, let’s review his performance today.
Hope Keenan Allen’s injury isn’t a serious one 😢

The WR didn’t look at his best during the 1st game for Bears. In 2023, he didn’t drop a single pass, but today, he dropped Caleb Williams’ pass, which might have been the rookie’s first touchdown. Apart from that, he had 4 receptions in 29 yards, averaging 7.3 yards per carry. But given his experience, if he gets ruled out because of any injury, that wouldn’t be good for the team.
He was a beast for the Chargers. In 11 seasons for his former team, Keenan Allen had 10,530 receiving yards with 904 receptions. A 6-timer Pro-Bowler, he has more than 100 receptions in 6 seasons, a feat which Bears badly want him to emulate with them. Though he looked rusty in the first game, he might find his rhythm soon.

Rome Odunze and DJ Moore are permanent in the Chicago Bears playing team. They both helped them today as well in securing a win over the Titans by 24-17. Moore joined Bears in 2023 and had 1,364 receiving yards with 96 receptions and 8 touchdowns. Rome Odunze is a rookie, but he impressed the HC Matt Eberflus during the training camp. There are 3 more WR options for the team.

If Keenan Allen does not play, the team has DeAndre Carter, Velus Jones, and Tyler Scott. Carter has been in and out of the NFL since 2015. As of 2023, he has 1,259 receiving yards with 108 receptions. Since 2022, Jones has been battling it out for the Bears but has been in and out of the team, with only 127 yards and 11 receptions. The next year (in 2023), the team drafted Scott who managed 168 yards with 17 receptions. All three don’t have that edge required to carry the offense.
With a rookie as the leader of the offense, Keenan Allen’s role becomes very important. He is clearly the most experienced WR in the team. Fans are hoping there isn’t anything serious behind his limping. Stay connected while we bring more updates.
