The Minnesota Vikings faced a last-minute upset against the Detroit Lions last week. They are on a 5-1 run and went against the 2-4 Rams to wipe the bitter taste from their mouth. But this is about the Rams, though. There are rumors of their star players Cooper Kupp and Matthew Stafford being potentially traded to other teams but that’s not their worry right now.
The LA Rams faced an early shock in the game when the safety Kam Curl got injured while trying to tackle Justin Jefferson. This happened early in the first quarter and Tanner Phifer was quick to share the update on X.
A video titled, “Former Arkansas CB Kam Curl injured on this tackle of Justin Jefferson. Let’s hope he is okay. #NFL,” shows what happened in the game’s early stages. He seems to have gotten injured while trying to tackle Justin Jefferson. The video shows Jefferson catching the ball as Kam Curl came from behind and tackled him. However, another one of his team members seems to have rammed him and he went to the ground. He looked like he was in agony after the hit.

Reports indicate that Curl suffered a knee injury, and trainers attended to him before taking him to the locker room for further evaluation. At the time of the injury, he was deemed questionable to return. Kamren Kinchens, the rookie, was subbed in in lieu of Kam Curl. Kinchens was playing aside Quentin Lake but the Rams got good news in due time.
The safety returned in the second quarter. Kamren Curl had 1 assisted tackle and a solo tackle till the early third quarter. The safety has recorded 27 tackles, two passes defended, and a forced fumble in the 7 games he has completed so far.

But aside from Curl’s injury, the Vikings-Rams game was amongst one of the best Thursday Night Football games to happen till now. The quarterback competition has been insane till the second half of the game.
Matthew Stafford carrying the Rams amidst Kam Curls’ early injury
Sam Darnold and the Vikings had an early start to the game. They scored a touchdown early in the first quarter. With 10:43 remaining in the first quarter, Darnold threw a 5-yard pass to Josh Oliver for an early lead.
Matthew Stafford replied to Sam Darnold’s TD with a 5-yard TD pass to Kyren Williams and neutralized the score. That was enough to fire the Minnesota QB. He advanced his team through another 10-yard TD pass to Trent Sherfield Sr. and took a 14-7 lead. All this happened in the first quarter.

Come the second quarter, Stafford knew better and didn’t lack in his efforts to Th 10:05 remaining in the second quarter. He threw a 7-yard TD pass to Cooper Kupp and equalized the score. The scoring in the first half came to a halt by that point and the score was 14-14.
The third quarter finally came and Will Reichard knocked down a 23-yard FG to give Vikings a 17-14 edge. However, the Vikings didn’t know what was coming for them. Stafford initially threw a moonball near the end zone, but a defender punched it out. However, he didn’t let that deter him.

With 2:36 remaining in the third quarter, Stafford came in clutch and threw a 25-yard pass to Demarcus Robinson for a 21-17 lead. Watching Sam Darnold was amusing, as people have questioned him throughout his career, yet he is making big plays right now.
The teams were clearly desperate to win the game. But the Rams had more pressure on them to advance to 3-5. But there are other things like Stafford and Kupp leaving the team that they have to worry about. Maybe that will not come true in due time. But with a November 5 trade deadline, anything can happen.
