According to reporter Zach Goodall, Waddle headed straight to the medical tent, where he’s currently being evaluated for a potential concussion. The star wide receiver took a hard hit and was slow to get up, prompting medical staff to rush him to the sidelines and into the medical tent for a concussion check. While the Dolphins haven’t provided an official update yet, Waddle’s status is listed as questionable to return. He is undoubtedly a key to Miami’s offense, this is a huge concern for fans. Everyone is hoping Waddle gets cleared and returns to the field soon!

Waddle’s injury scare came after a huge 2023 season where he racked up over 1,000 receiving yards. Having him back on the field is crucial, as his chemistry with Tyreek Hill and Tua Tagovailoa is a game-changer for Miami’s offense. While the Dolphins are still struggling to score, fans can only hope Waddle stays healthy for the rest of the game and the season.

Thankfully, per Omar Kelly of the Miami Herald, Waddle cleared the concussion protocol and even got his helmet back on, though it wasn’t guaranteed he’d return immediately.

The Miami Dolphins pulled off a dramatic 20-17 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, despite facing numerous challenges. One of the biggest headlines came from Tyreek Hill, who was detained by police before the game. Just hours later, Hill shook off the incident and ignited the Dolphins’ comeback with a stunning 80-yard touchdown catch in the third quarter. After scoring, Hill cheekily mimicked handcuffs in his celebration, referencing his earlier detainment. He finished the game with seven catches for 130 yards.

Jaylen Waddle added to the tension when he left the game with a suspected concussion. Dolphins fans held their breath, but Waddle cleared protocol and returned to the field, contributing with five catches for 108 yards. Tua Tagovailoa, fresh off a big offseason payday, led the charge, throwing for 336 yards and a touchdown. With the score tied at 17-17, Jason Sanders nailed a 52-yard field goal as time expired to secure the victory.

Analysts praised Hill’s resilience. “Tyreek’s ability to bounce back from a rough start and still perform at an elite level shows his mental toughness,” said NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe.

The Jaguars put up a fight, with Trevor Lawrence passing for 162 yards, but it wasn’t enough to stop Miami’s late surge. This win marks the Dolphins’ fourth straight season opener victory, and despite the drama, they’re off to a strong start.
