Can the Commanders hold their lead if Jayden Daniels is sidelined with his hand injury?

Week 11 is here for the Commanders and the Eagles. It’s a tough game with both sides giving each other a gush of storm. But for now, the Eagles are ahead of the away team with 12-10 in the final quarter. That’s definitely concerning news for the Washington fans. However, Jayden Daniels’s injury during the game might add another sense of worry among the faithful.

At Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, on Thursday night, the Commanders’s quarterback Jayden Daniels appeared to be injured. During the first drive of the second half of the game, Daniels was seen attended by the team’s medical staff as he likely got a cut on his throwing hand. According to the reports, he had a cut between his pinkie and ring fingers in the front of his right hand.

For now, the attendants have applied some ointment or glue to close the wound of Daniels, as the QB was feeling the pain and burning sensation on the cut. Apart from this, no further updates have been out yet.

However, due to this injury, Jayden Daniels didn’t miss any time as he returned soon for the team’s second half after a field goal by Jake Elliot. In this game, Daniels showed mixed results in the first half. Out of his 11 pass attempts, he completed eight, totaling 83 yards. But unfortunately, he also got sacked twice.

By the time Daniels injured his throwing arm, the Commanders were leading the Eagles 10-6 in the third quarter. Now that he is back, fans are worrying about his injury, as Jayden Daniels is delivering with his injured hand which might cause bigger trouble in the future, especially after his rib injury earlier in the year. Until then, he will have to help his team to win this one.

The Commanders are losing!

As per the recent update, the Eagles have pushed themselves from the first quarter to be ahead in the final quarter. The score is now 26-10 with just four minutes left on the clock.  As the fourth quarter kicked off, the Commanders held a slim 10-6 lead. But the Eagles didn’t waste time, marching down to the one-yard line.

With their signature “tush push” move, they powered into the end zone. The Eagles missed the extra point, though, giving Washington a golden opportunity to shift the momentum. But the Commanders failed to do so. As a result, the Eagles are maintaining their winning chances, adding more and more points to their scoreboard.

And with the rookie quarterback’s limited play – just 16 attempts for 158 yards – fans are holding their breath. It might be too late now for Jayden Daniels to rise up in this game!
