Evan Engram out—Will the Jaguars' offense crumble without their star tight end?

After losing their season opener in week 1, the Jacksonville Jaguars are set to face Cleveland Browns today. Both teams lost last week and will be looking to redeem themselves during the Sunday game. However, it seems like the Jaguars will have trouble during offense as their primary pick for tight end, Evan Engram, won’t be seen on the gridiron today.

Unfortunately, Engram suffered an injury right before the game started. Last moment, the team was forced to upload the update on social media after the tight end was probably assessed to see if he would be able to play today.

Jacksonville announced that Evan Engram sustained a hamstring injury. This happened during the pregame warmup. While it is unlikely and disappointing for an injury to occur right before the game, it was important to seat Engram to protect his health further.

The severity of the injury hasn’t yet been announced. However, Jaguars fans should prepare to receive a minor setback since this is a last-minute change. Tight end is an important position and Sunday’s play may be a rough ride for the audience looking to cheer for Engram and his team.

It looks like the JAX are having a hard time this season because this isn’t the first injury since their season opener. On the contrary, their CB was also put on the IR after their last game against the Miami Dolphins.

The Jacksonville Jaguars lost 17-20 to the Dolphins during their first game of this ongoing regular season. Unfortunately, Tyson Campbell came out of the Hard Rock Stadium injured. Much like Engram, Campbell also suffered a hamstring injury. However, the mode of enduring both of these were drastically different. While the TE got it during his pregame warmup today, Campbell collided with the Dolphins’ WR, Jaylen Waddle. This seems to have contributed to the hamstring injury due to which he was immediately pulled out of the gridiron.

According to reports, it may take around four games before Campbell is retrieved from the IR to play on the field again. We don’t have this update available for the injured tight end yet but it would be safe to assume that Evan Engram might show up against Bills on September 23. That game is still 8 days away and if the hamstring has only received a minor injury, then it shouldn’t take him that long before he can get up and start supporting his team again.

Do you think the Jacksonville Jaguars’ score could have been different during the Sunday game against the Browns if it weren’t for Engram’s injury?
