Another game and another setback for the Patriots. Drake Maye, the team’s quarterback, was hit hard and left the ground a few moments earlier. The man received a severe blow to the head, and his recovery appears to be in doubt thus far. The medical staff has requested him to rest for a while before returning to the field.

The man has moved from the blue tent to the locker room, and Jacoby Brissett has begun to warm up. Not only is the quarterback hurt, but he may have suffered a concussion. The physicians are on him right now, and he is having a checkup for that as well. This is a critical game for the Patriots, and Drake Maye’s absence may have a significant impact on their game plan. Although Maye is a rookie quarterback, he is a valuable asset. Brissett will be under a lot of pressure to stick to all of the game plans that are currently in place.

So far, it is evident that Drake Maye’s departure was terrible news. But here the real question is whether he will return today. The answer, regrettably, is no. The Patriots’ head coach stated during the broadcast that the quarterback was not looking well at the time. The impact on the head was bad enough that he was suggested to rest for the duration of the game. This means that the Patriots are in serious peril since the Jets have gained momentum since the injury.

Aaron Rodgers is exploiting the conditions to put extra pressure on the Patriots and gradually steal the game away from them. On the other side, the Patriots require something strong to mount a comeback. Furthermore, Drake Maye has had a significant effect on the squad, and his absence is a catastrophe for the team.

Drake Maye’s exit has opened a hole in the Patriots’ new attitude ship

We all know that Jerod Mayo was meant to change the entire team’s mindset. The head coach thought his team could succeed, so he focused heavily on Maye. Not only that, but the past two games showed that the squad was improving, and who knows, if that trend had been maintained, they may have won a couple more victories.

However, it appears that this is not mentioned in the Patriots’ luck book. Drake Maye’s departure and the team’s collapse may have been the last thing Mayo expected. From here, the issue with the Patriots will only worsen, as Aaron Rodgers is not the type of player who would lose a game like this easily.
