Can the Rams survive without Cooper Kupp, or is their season already doomed?

The Los Angeles Rams’ visit to Arizona in their week 2 encounter couldn’t have gone worse as they trail the game 31-3 in the third quarter. With a comeback seemingly impossible, they have lost yet another player to an injury after losing rookie sensation Puka Nacua last week. This time, it’s star receiver Cooper Kupp who gets added to the injury list that is threatening to derail the Rams’ season in September itself.

Looking back at the incident, Kupp was seen hobbling off the field in the first half. But did manage to get back in action as the second half unfolded in Arizona. However, his stay was short-lived as Kupp went back in to receive treatment while the game against the Cardinals almost wrapped up in the favor of the home team.

For those who didn’t catch the incident live, Kupp got injured in the second quarter when two Cardinals players mauled him trying to get a reception. Even though Kupp tried shaking off the injury, he eventually left the field to receive treatment. This comes as a huge blow for the Rams, who were already struggling in their receiver room after losing Nacua to a knee injury.

Now, losing two of their star pass rushers in the opening weeks of the regular season to possibly lengthy injuries can lead the Rams towards bigger troubles. With a mounting injury list that doesn’t seem to help, the Rams would be hoping they can get their key players back as quickly as possible.

Even though multiple players might not have a role to play in Arizona. There are a few who are listed as questionable, such as CB Darious Williams (hamstring), safety Quentin Lake(hip) and CB Cobie Durant(toe). Each of them has remained limited in practice throughout the week as they try to recover from their injuries. Elsewhere, starting left tackle Joe Noteboom is still placed on the injury reserve, citing an ankle injury.
