Week 8 ended for the Vikings and Rams. Result? Los Angeles pulled out a 10-point victory from the jaws of Minnesota. However, the game brought a lot of chatter into the newsroom and social media. One was the controversial last-minute non-call penalty, which could have given the Vikings a chance to win. And the second is the injury scare that plagued the Vikings’ fans.
With just 35 seconds left in the second quarter of the game, the Vikings made a bold call. Instead of taking a knee, they opted for a run from their own 3-yard line. Yes! It was a risky move, and unfortunately, it quickly turned into a nightmare. As running back Aaron Jones fought for yards, Rams rookie safety Jaylen McCollough tackled him, but his leg rolled awkwardly over Christian Darrisaw‘s leg. Hence, the impact was immediate. This resulted in rolling him down on the field and holding his left leg in pain.
