Cam Jurgens has emerged as the Eagles‘ most brutal player. The Center was unstoppable last season, as he helped the team gain a significant advantage in nearly every game. However, it appears that carrying the squad on his back has caused Jurgens to develop a serious back problem. And these problems are not normal, as the center has suffered significant nerve damage. Uh-oh. So, have things improved after the Super Bowl victory?

Well, current reports say that things have significantly improved. Cam Jurgens eventually found time to visit a doctor and address the issues after many team parties. According to recent reports about his health, the center underwent back treatment in Los Angeles. Dr. Robert Watkins performed this operation to treat nerve discomfort. The surgery was successful, and we can expect the center to be under recovery till July. Phew! This means he will not miss training camp before the 2025 season.

The report stated, “Eagles Pro-Bowl center Cam Jurgens underwent a back procedure Tuesday in Los Angeles with Dr. Robert Watkins to alleviate nerve pain, per sources. Doctors believe a full recovery is expected by July, in time for training camp. Jurgens is headed into the final season of his rookie contract.” The Eagles signed the Centre in 2022 for a contract of $6,903,024. And trust me that’s a lot of money for a rookie center.

Cam Jurgens has proven his worth over the last three years, and as the 26-year-old enters the final year of his rookie deal, things might get interesting. If the man does well this season, he is likely to receive a substantial deal. So there should be hope that the back treatment he underwent does not have a negative impact on his performance on the field. Hopefully, when the season starts, he will be back in his vicious and ruthless form.

A terrific 2024 season, and possibly a fantastic 2025 season, might net him a deal worth $15-20 million. And why wouldn’t his deal be worth so much, given that many fans see him as Jason Kelce’s replacement? But does Jason Kelce think of him as a replacement?

A legend admiring a rookie is always exciting. But when one asserts that a newbie is superior to him. Oh my goodness, that rookie’s confidence will skyrocket. And for Cam Jurgens, who has idealized Jason Kelce, this was nothing short of a dream. Kelce recently expressed thanks for the center and provided a lesson for the future. According to the former player, Jurgens is someone who can push himself to new heights and should not give up.

What’s your perspective on:

Jason was in an interview where he stated, “I’m not calling him ‘Kelce’s replacement’. I think it’s awesome, listen, we’ve known Cam Jurgens is a great player in the Eagles organization. He’s got all the tools. He’s athletic, he’s strong, he’s he’s got long arms, he’s big, he’s smart, he’s explosive. There are things that he is much better at than I ever was at, and like, there’s always going to be every player is unique no matter how similar the traits are.”

Kelce even remarked that Jurgens is not a substitute for any of the Eagles‘ previous centers. The team has never had a center like him because each player has their unique specialty. But what are your thoughts? Do you believe Cam Jurgens can contribute significantly to the squad like no other?
