Here we go again—another week, another concussion scare. Seriously, is this season trying to recreate that GTA: San Andreas meme? This time, it was Philly’s hard-hitting safety, C.J. Gardner-Johnson, who sent Eagles‘ fans into panic mode during their clash against the Panthers.

Gardner-Johnson left the game early, heading straight to the locker room after a quick stop in the medical tent. Now, let me refresh your memories. At that point, Philly was already shorthanded with Reed Blankenship out. Losing Gardner, too? Yeah, the timing couldn’t have been worse.

And the Panthers smelled it. They wasted no time taking advantage. As soon as CJGJ stepped off the field, Bryce Young and the company decided to make their move. Voila! 3-0.

But it all started with Deven Thompkins’ big punt return, putting Carolina in Eagles territory. From there, it was a smooth operation… Young connected with Adam Thielen on a clean 24-yard dart, setting up the Panthers nicely. The drive didn’t quite end in the end zone, but Eddy Pineiro’s field goal was enough to put the Panthers on the board.

For Eagles fans, it’s one of those ‘Why us?’ moments. But thankfully for them, the medical staff did not rule Gardner-Johnson out against the Panthers. PHEW! And guess what? He replied with an instant hit.

C.J. Gardner-Johnson is just built differently!

What’s your perspective on:

Eagles fans, is it time to panic with Gardner-Johnson's injury adding to the woes?

Have an interesting take?

The Eagles Nation might want to take their hand off their chests because C.J. Gardner-Johnson returned like he had something to prove. And boy, the way he announced himself back! WOW… The guy ran under a Bryce Young floater like it was a perfectly set punt, snagging an interception that flipped the script against the Panthers.

Carolina needs reinforcements, and they can’t seem to get one. That’s how good of a game it’s been for Gardner-Johnson. I mean, wasn’t he down like a few minutes ago?

Here’s the thing about CJGJ that you might want to know. He is on a hunting spree on the gridiron. Pigskin. Huh, what’s that? He’s after the guys from the opponent teams. Need proof? Check his 2022 numbers: 67 tackles, six picks, and eight passes defended.

Oh, and let’s not forget he balled out in the Eagles’ Super Bowl LVII run, even though they came up short. This guy thrives under pressure, always on the hunt for the ball and unapologetically holding his team to the highest standards. “I’m always on the winning side,” he said. So yeah, the Madden rating may say 83, but we all know that’s underselling it. This guy plays like he’s a 99 every single snap.
