This season, injuries have destroyed several plans. The latest one is Panthers‘ head coach Dave Canales’ plan to get a Lombardi with the Carolina team. The HC received a setback after the week 5 game against the Bears as center Austin Corbett learned hiw brutal the game can be.
Ian Rapoport announced tragic news recently: Austin Corbett tore his biceps and is now out for the entire season as the injury needs surgery. That’s why we call it an unforgiving sport.

Austin Corbett hinted at a biceps injury after the Bears’ week 5 game on the 6th of October. He was trying to push the play to Jonathan Mingo. That’s when Corbett heard a pop in his elbow. Later, his left arm was put in a sling. During the game, Brady Christensen replaced him and would be the starter going ahead for the season.
The injured center hasn’t had the best times of his career for the last 2-3 years. In 2022, he tore his ACL, which forced him to get on a recovery workout cycle to become fit again. Last year, he again suffered an MCL Injury after playing only 4 games.

Corbett’s fellow player and linebacker Taylor Moton will also miss the week game against the Atlanta Falcons. The interesting thing is, it will be Moton’s first game miss after 104 games since 2018. His injury has been diagnosed as a triceps injury. The coach said that it would be checked on a day-to-day basis.
The team has found the replacements of Austin Corbett and Moton (replaced by Yosh Nijman). There are several other injured players. Linebacker Jadeveon Clowney‘s shoulder injury will also be checked every week.
Xavier Legette, the wide receiver, is also out with a shoulder injury. Canales said that the team will check the WR on a week-to-week basis. Their tight end, Tommy Tremble, is also struggling with a concussion and has been placed under concussion protocol.
