Can the Buffalo Bills maintain their winning streak without Amari Cooper and Keon Coleman?

With a 7-2 season, the Buffalo Bills continue to perform well in games. But even after all this, the team suffered a blow in Week 8 when their key WR, Amari Cooper, got injured. During a catch, the man injured his wrist. And while it did not appear to be a critical condition at the time, there has been no improvement as well. The Bills will take the field against the Colts, and Cooper will be still missing. But why, exactly?

Let’s just say that the WR’s wrist isn’t actively working for him. We all know that wrist injuries are the nightmares for a wide receiver since wrists are so important to their gameplay. While Amari Cooper will not play this week, supporters are becoming increasingly concerned about him. Only time will tell what’s going on with him and when he’ll return.

Many of you would be surprised to find that Amari Cooper did engage in limited practice on Friday. The WR has been doing several key things to stay energetic and fresh. Prior to this, in two games with the team, he caught five receptions for 69 yards and one TD. This suggests that the individual has an incredible potential that has yet to be used in the Bills.

For the time being, the only news is that the Bills will be missing their two primary wide receivers, Cooper and Keon Coleman, in Week 10. Perhaps the squad might have prepared for this circumstance and are still standing strong for tonight’s game.

The Bills currently only have one strategy for the game against the Colts. The squad wants to spread out their playing wide receivers as much as possible to give them more room. Given the current circumstances, the franchise will be eager to seek out more opportunities to break through the Colts’ defense. While this is the current strategy, it is unclear if they will be able to carry it out.

The injuries to Amari Cooper and Keon Coleman have come at the worst possible time for the franchise. They can’t afford losses right now since it will damage their playoff prospects this season. As we have had a look at Cooper’s injury, let’s glance at why Coleman is out.

What happened to the rookie?

The Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott, during his weekly appearance on WGR550, informed that the rookie wide receiver will not make an appearance for Sunday’s game against the Colts. The reason for Coleman sitting out of this matchup was the wrist injury he sustained during the Dolphins game in Week 9. This also led him to sit out of this week’s practice.

Though this will be the first game of the season that the 21-year-old will miss, there is a high possibility that he may end up missing more games, as per his head coach. McDermott said, “It’s a week-to-week deal. It’ll probably be multiple weeks.”

However, the franchise is currently fixated on the Colts. Bills have ruled throughout history, and they want to maintain it that way. Both teams have squared off 72 times, with the Bills leading with 38 victories. Only time will tell if the squad will maintain their dominance.
