The Pittsburgh Steelers-Dallas Cowboys game was about to begin, and then Mother Nature stepped in with divine intervention. Thunderstorms, lightning, and dark clouds have caused the game to be pushed back even further and the people are eager to watch how the Cowboys will do after an 8-year-long visit to Acrisure Stadium.
So, what’s going on with either team’s players? They can’t be just sitting around, right? Well, they are. Everyone is. It’s not like they have any special moves to control the weather and get the game going. But Melissa Stark of NBC knows what’s going on and she shared the activities taking place in the Steelers facility.
“[I’m] Actually inside the tunnel, just outside of the Steelers locker room, all of the coaching staff, all of the players are inside. We’ve heard from the team, as you guys were talking about, they’re trying to stay loose. We just saw a rolling cart of food of sandwiches, subs, a bunch of wraps go in,” Stark spoke on SNF on NBC’s X handle.

The Dallas Cowboys are getting the same treatment at the Steelers facility. But the America’s team seems to be locked in and they are still in pads, listening to music, stretching, and warming up in general.
“As for the Cowboys, we heard that they are still in pads. They are listening to music. They’re trying to stay focused and they’re trying to stay loose by stretching. And it’s pretty quiet in these hallways, just people kind of roaming through and everybody waiting as we all are for this game to start,” Stark continued further. Well, it sure seems like God has finally granted them their request!
The wait is over as the clouds have dissipated, allowing the warm sunlight to bathe the field, signaling that the players will be making their way out soon. 8 years ago, when the Cowboys visited Pittsburgh, they came out with a 35-20 win when Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott were still rookies.
What’s your perspective on:
Are the Cowboys ready to break their Acrisure Stadium curse, or will the weather steal the show?
Have an interesting take?
But there are challenges and roadblocks the Cowboys will have to clear if they want to repeat the same feat again.

The struggling Dallas Cowboys
It’s safe to say that nothing is going right for the Dallas team. The game against Baltimore was the same as last year’s game against the 49ers. It shook the Dallas Cowboys. But the team is also dealing with some injuries. Especially the one to Micah Parsons, who has been ruled out due to some problems with his ankle.

That gives some leverage to Justin Fields, who has been heavy on showing off his dual-threat skills. The Cowboys have a bad pass rush defense and Fields might just get his way. An interesting thing to know here is that the Steelers blackballed Russell Wilson and made him a surprise inactive before the game. So Fields is the starting quarterback.

The Cowboys are also short on offense with Brandin Cooks out of the game. It’s an away game, the weather’s bad and the Pittsburgh Steelers have all the advantage. But this is football and things change in a split second. What side are you on?
