Jalen Hurts had been here before. Super Bowl spotlight, all eyes on him, another shot at the Lombardi. But the last time? It didn’t go his way. Back in the 2022-23 season, he and the Eagles went toe-to-toe with the Chiefs in a thriller. Hurts put on a show – 304 passing yards, a touchdown through the air, and three more on the ground. No QB in Super Bowl history had ever rushed for that many yards or found the end zone three times with his legs. He was electric.

But that just was not their day. A fumble in the second quarter, scooped up by Nick Bolton and taken to the house. Even after that, Hurts kept fighting, leading a late-game charge. With seconds left, he launched a Hail Mary, hoping for a miracle. It fell short. Chiefs took it, 38-35. A loss that had to sting. But fast forward to now, Hurts just got the redemption he was chasing.
Jalen now also holds the record for the most rushing yards by a quarterback in a Super Bowl, and get this: it’s the second time he’s done it. His 72 yards today topped the 70 he racked up in Super Bowl 57.
The guy isn’t just breaking records; he’s racing against himself and coming out on top. The city of Philadelphia must be lighting up on Feb 9. Eagles fans finally have their long-awaited Super Bowl win. And with that, we wrap up another fantastic season of football.
