This NFL season’s surely known for some unpredictable endings. Most notably, the Chiefs were chasing a historic three-peat, but the Eagles had other plans, taking down the champs. And just like that, the Steelers were looking solid throughout the season and true contenders for the AFC top spot. Then came a brutal five-game losing streak and the Steel City was knocked out. And ever since then, Russell Wilson’s future with the team is up in the air.

Now? Well, the veteran QB’s all in, ready to hang up his cleats as a Steeler for another season. What about the Steelers, though? They’re still keeping him in limbo, no green light yet for his return. However, amidst all the QB drama, one thing remains constant for Wilson–his wife Ciara Wilson’s support. Despite the uncertainty looming over his head for the next season, his wife stands by him, believing in his epic return to the gridiron.

Just a while ago, Ciara hopped up to her official Instagram account and shared a post of baby2baby in her story with her husband. She captioned, “We’re in this together.” The couple can be seen helping pack emergency supplies for children and families impacted by the LA fires. The NGO shared the original post on their IG handle on Tuesday.

Now, if y’all are familiar with Wilson and Ciara’s other ventures, then you might know that the couple’s charitable work in not new. Back in January this year, the 39-year-old singer hit up her IG handle and shared a story, requesting her fans for donations through baby2baby for the LA fires’ victims. “Every little bit will make a difference!!” she captioned.

Besides their unwavering support and efforts to help children and the affected families through baby2baby, the Wilson couple also co-host an annual charity golf event. On top of that, the couple teamed up with Food Lifeline to serve up a million meals to those in need during the COVID-19 chaos. And a couple of years later, they declared to donate $500K to the NGOs in Colorado.

Honestly, these are just a couple of instances of their philanthropic work. The Wilson couple has been a part of countless donations and charitable work. Sure, his future with the Steelers is uncertain, but Russell Wilson and Ciara’s philanthropic work is constant.

Russell Wilson wants to retire in black and gold

The Pittsburgh Steelers are gonna be under scrutiny in the coming offseason. The reason? Well, the Steelers are stuck between a young gun with fresh legs and a seasoned vet with all the wisdom. Talk about a tough call, huh? Now, here’s the deal: the Steel City is looking for a long-time investment in their QB position. Translation: they want to pick Justin Fields over Russell Wilson this off-season.

But what about Wilson? I mean, the guy is rooting for them to pick him. Now, here’s where things get interesting. On Monday, the Steelers shared an update for their next season on their official IG handle. “The 2025 season starts now. #HereWeGo,” the post reads. The kicker? The 36-year-old veteran QB reshared the post in his IG story, reiterating the Steelers’ message.

Let’s be real: it’s clear that Wilson wants to play for the Steelers in the 2025 season and even ESPN’s Adam Schefter also hinted the same. He stated, “He feels like there’s definitely a chance he’s going to be back there.” But! But!! The reports aren’t favoring his return to the Steel City. Courtesy of those five consecutive loss, especially the wild-card loss against the Ravens.

The thing is, the Steelers’ president and owner, Art Rooney II, confirmed that the team’s not gonna look in the NFL draft either this year or the next year. On top of that, he also stated, “I think both of them see themselves as starters, and I don’t know that they want to share the same job again next year. So, I would say most likely we probably don’t wind up bringing them both back.”

That said, the Steelers have to make a tough call. Either they want to go with Fields or with Wilson. Enter age criteria and y’all know the team believes that Fields is more young and athletic than Wilson. That means, the team would probably go with Fields instead of Russell Wilson.
