The mega showdown between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers is all set to commence in less than a week. Prior to it, the NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell sat down for a press meet. Goodell brought attention to a unique trend in the league, often termed the ‘Taylor Swift effect.’ Of course, this term’s whole existence is based on Taylor Swift’s involvement in the NFL, notably through her relationship with the Chiefs’ stunning tight end, Travis Kelce.

As she has been a relatively regular attendee at the Chiefs’ game, so have been many ‘Swifties.’ Acknowledging this new wave of fans into the NFL realm, the Commissioner welcomed this change as he highlighted his priority and what matters at the end of the day as a football enthusiast.

In a recent press conference, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell spoke about Taylor Swift and her popularity affecting the NFL’s audience. He began by expressing his connection. He revealed, “As a parent of 22-year-old twin girls my daughters and all of our family are Swifties.” Then, he recalled meeting Swift in New Orleans in 2009 and lauded her as an “extraordinary performer.”

Goodell didn’t hesitate to highlight the fresh perspective Swift brings to the sport. He said, “It’s giving people a different perspective of the game. It’s giving them an opportunity to say wow that’s exciting and I see it.” Furthermore, he went ahead and acknowledged the broader impact of her involvement. He added, “Taylor is obviously a Dynamo. Everything she touches there are people following and so we count ourselves fortunate and we welcome it.

However, once again highlighting that all that matters at the end are the games getting the limelight, he added, “People are talking about the game that weren’t talking about the game yesterday. And whatever that reason is, I’m good with it as long as they get exposure to our game.” Now, the question arises, is the ‘Dynamo’ attending the Super Bowl?

However, reports indicate that she has efficiently secured a parking spot for her private jet, overcoming initial concerns about the limited availability. This move is consistent with her pattern of supporting Kelce in important matches. With the time zone difference and flights like American’s Flight 1989 aiding her journey from Kansas City to Las Vegas, Swift’s presence at the Super Bowl seems well-planned and likely.
