The Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has expressed his grief on the heartbreaking loss at AT&T. The Cowboys lost 48-32 to the Packers in the wild-card round. The Packers dominated the game throughout and shattered the hopes of the Cowboys to grab an easy victory on home turf. HC Mike McCarthy and QB Dak Prescott’s leadership have come under the radar, and owner Jerry Jones cleared the air around it.

The Packers have taken the lead of 5-4 in all-time playoff appearances against the Cowboys. They didn’t have the best of the season but the Green Bay team seems to have found the momentum at the right time in the season. The consistent Cowboys received a shocker in the wild card game, with Jerry Jones highlighting the same in his recent comment.

In the post-game presser, Jones was short on words and admitted that he didn’t have any questions or answers regarding, “Why we didn’t do what we wanted tonight.” He addressed the fanbase, simply sad about how abruptly things ended, “I understand how much you deserve us to not have this ending.”

He expressed his feelings regarding the loss, remarking, “I certainly in no way have spent any of my time over the last three hours asking how and why.” After this deliberation, Jones also said, “Zeroed in on the fact that we were in a position to advance this thing in the playoffs and maybe get as far as our dreams might take us.” His comment indicated how the expectations of his side were rather high due to the performances they had put forth, but the unfortunate loss was a tough shocker.

He acknowledged missing out on an anticipated win, remarking, “We didn’t do it.” He further stated, “I don’t have any thoughts about the reasons why or anything to do with the coaching (McCarthy), anything to do about the players”. He did give due credit to the Packers team by complementing them amidst all the queries. He admitted, “This is one of my most surprises since I’ve been involved in school period.” While the owner made a statement that backed the HC, varied opinions are pouring in from the NFL world.

Is Mike McCarthy’s run with the Cowboys about to end?

The Cowboys’ embarrassing loss at home has opened the doors for the critics to raise concerns over the team’s coaching staff and leadership overall. Jane Slater and Skip Bayless backed the perspective of McCarthy’s exit from the Dallas team, urging the side to look for better options out there. Slater wrote on X, “The Jones family’s have always shown Mike McCarthy support but there’s no way they are watching believing this is good enough, especially with Mike Vrabel, Jim Harbaugh, and Bill Belchick available.”
