Does Travis Kelce always get the short end of the stick? First, it was “MAAUTO”, and now he’s lost Patrick Mahomes’ sidekick position. Well, not literally, but their new Subway commercial landed Travis Kelce in a tough spot, just within the boundaries of banter. The Conference game is approaching, and people need a snack before they kick it back and turn on the television.
In the wake of this occasion, Mahomes and Co. gave a snippet of Subway’s new scheme to aid the football community with an offer they can’t refuse. Even Brittany Mahomes couldn’t contain herself from having a little chuckle on social media. Kelce posted a video on IG and it’s nothing short of hilarious.
Has Patrick Mahomes found a new sidekick?

The video posted by Travis Kelce on IG is captioned, “The new footlong cookie from @subway hits every time #subwaypartner”, and has the words “New Footlong Sidekicks” in the classic Subway color scheme in the video. Mahomes can be seen holding a footlong as he says, “There’s nothing better than a Subway series footlong, except when you add a new footlong sidekick, like the boss with the new footlong cookie.”

But it was his final sentence that made Travis Kelce look at him with disappointment and surprise as he said, “This might be my favorite sidekick ever”. Brittany Mahomes couldn’t hold herself back and commented, “I’m dead😂😂😂😂”. The commercial is going viral and the video has more than 150k likes.
While the idea of a footlong cookie might be excessive to some, people couldn’t help themselves but laugh at what they’ve just seen. One of the fans commented, “Hahaha love the look on Travis’s face when he got replaced by a cookie! 🤣🤣”. The laughing emoji seems to be a running theme in the comment section.
The commercial is exciting, to say the least, but nothing compared to what’s about to come on SNF as the Kansas City Chiefs and the Baltimore Ravens battle it out for the next step toward the Lombardi Trophy.
Can Patrick Mahomes one up the 3-1 record against the Ravens?
At his point, it’s really hard to say. While the Ravens have been unequivocally ahead of the curve, the Chiefs have just started to get back into their original form. Just as the Chiefs entered the post-season, they started breaking records. Rashee Rice became the first rookie QB with the most receptions in the franchise’s history while Mahomes and Kelce made the record for most touchdowns thrown in post-season in NFL history.

Maybe Subway’s footlong cookie comes next to Travis Kelce after all, judging by the way the QB and his receiver are gearing up to dominate the league once again. But, the game is happening at the M&T Bank Stadium, the Ravens’ home, where Mahomes has only won once. Can he do it again?
The Chiefs vs. Ravens is one of the most riveting rivalries, with a history steeped in thrilling moments and unforgettable plays. While one counts days for the much-anticipated Championship game, one thing is clear. While Patrick Mahomes “still got rings to collect”, Jackson made it clear that he was here to win a Super Bowl the night he was drafted.
