San Francisco 49ers‘ Dre Greenlaw was involved in an unfortunate event during the Philadelphia Eagles game at Lincoln Financial Field. The linebacker received the heat after attempting to punch Eagles’ security officer Dom DiSandro in the face. And both the LB and DiSandro saw the worst side of it with actions getting taken against them.

The incident occurred during the third quarter, but the home team couldn’t capitalize on it. Far from a comeback, the 49ers closed the scoreline 19-42, pretty much a rehappening of the Cowboys game. And the win just proved the quality of the Brock Purdy-led 49ers offense that has been hard to handle.

During a heated conversation during the third quarter of the game, a players-officials pile-up occurred at the sideline. At that moment, Dre Greenlaw appeared to be taking a jab at the Eagles’ security head DiSandro. The action was recorded on camera and the NFL officials immediately took action against both the LB and the security officer.

Greenlaw was expelled from the game with potential fines and match suspension lingering over him. DiSandro suffered the same fate as well for engaging in the brawl, although he received a standing ovation from the home crowd while going out.

The 49ers, on the other hand, proved the odds to be true with the 23-point hammering. And the game just added another feather to Purdy’s hat, who had a field day at Philadelphia. This was nearly a remake of the Cowboys game from week 6, where the QB absolutely humiliated the fellow NFC East giants.

Brock Purdy made arguably the league’s most organized defense look like amateurs with his 19-27, 314-yard, and 4-touchdown game. The statistics also make the 49ers QB the distant leader in yds/attempt (9.4) as well as in the completion percentage (70.2) in the league. This was Purdy’s successive success while facing an NFC top seed, with the Cowboys having bitten the dust earlier.

An undefeated 49ers faced the NFC East side Dallas Cowboys in week six and handed them their worst loss of the season. Purdy accounted for 17-24, 252 yards with 4 touchdowns as the NFC West side trounced the $9.1 billion franchise 42-10. Although the Cowboys recovered fairly well with no further losses in the season, not many expected the same fate for the frontrunner Eagles. Especially at their home field.

The odds proved to be true and costly as well for the defending NFC champions, although they remain the conference’s top seeds with only 2 losses so far.
