Dak Prescott's $200M contract, but his fashion sense? Is he more focused on style than winning games?

Dak Prescott recently achieved a milestone in his career. During the whole off-season, there were only talks about his contract extension. Nothing was signed on paper. Ahead of the season opener against the Cleveland Browns, he signed a 4-year $240 million deal. It makes him the highest-paid quarterback of 2024 in terms of annual salary ($60 million).

Before the week 1 game, Dak Prescott made a dashing entry into the stadium. Dressed in a printed blazer, the quarterback was filmed walking in style. To hype up the highest-paid quarterback of 2024, the NFL posted a video with the caption, “Dak lookin’ like money 🔥.” While they would have hoped for praise, exactly the opposite happened.

Fans mocked the styling of Dak Prescott. While one fan wrote, “looks like a waste of $200 million dollars 🔥🔥“, another one commented, “Looking like my window curtains. Guess I got money too.” One fan went too far, commenting, “Cowboys ain’t winning a Super Bowl for the next 30 years lol.” But all were trolling him.

Many fans are excited after hearing about Dak Prescott’s contract extension. While one fan wrote, “Ngl dak might go on a revenge tour this year“, another one directly referred to his huge contract, commenting, “Dak wearing custom made lavender silk by yours truly! Can’t hide that money 🔥“. Another fan had a very unique name for the quarterback, “The money man.

While the locker room is also happy, an analyst lambasted Cowboys owner and GM, Jerry Jones, over the new deal with the QB deal.

The signal caller has been a rock for Cowboys in the last 9 season. But he has often faltered during the decisive stages, the playoffs. In the last 3 seasons, the team has reached playoffs but hasn’t qualified for Super Bowl in any of them. Pointing to this, famous sports analyst Bayless wrote on X, “This is why Jerry’s Dallas Cowboys have not even made it to an NFC Championship game in going on 30 years.” Then, things became emotional as the well-known Cowboys fan felt frustrated.

Bayless tweeted multiple things, but the highlight was his love being tested, “Since I was 10 years old, I have loved the Dallas Cowboys with all my heart and soul. But right now, that love is being tested like never before. If you’re a smart Cowboy fan, you know the feeling.” Well, he is right that! And it’s no denying the fact that Dak Presvott’s gameplay suffers in playoffs. Now that the team has invested in Prescott and made him the highest paid quarterback in NFL, the QB has to overcome the playoff factor.
