Just before the season opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars, visuals of Tyreek Hill stunned everyone. Miami Police detained him. The visuals of the star WR lying on the ground in handcuffs were enough to make everyone stand out from their chair. But he was immediately released after the intervention of his teammates and the Dolphins‘ management. After the game, he talked to reporters about the incident.
Visibly shaken by what happened before the game, Cheetah took time to start talking. After claiming that he has no idea about why they tied him in handcuffs, he said, “I wasn’t disrespectful because my mom didn’t raise me that way, didn’t cuss, didn’t do none of that. Like I said, I’m still trying to figure it out.” The WR, though, was playing on the field with a vengeance.
After scoring the touchdown in the 3rd quarter, he put his hands behind his back. The way he did it was similar to a person who is tied with handcuffs. His teammates were quick to understand it, with some of them acted like they were trying to open it. The WR posted the photo on his X account with the caption, “Love this shit ✌🏿.” After all, the team is above everything else.

When Tyreek Hill was handcuffed, his teammates came forward to get him out of that situation. Defensive Tackle Calais Campbell approached the police officers to find out what was going on, but his hands were also tied with handcuffs. In the end, both were released in time to play the season opener. Hill praised his teammates as well, saying, “I’m just glad that my teammates were there to support me in that situation because I felt alone.”
