Patrick Mahomes likes playing the villain. No, we’re not saying that. The 2x Super Bowl MVP said it himself. A new video of him has emerged as just a few hours remain for the Bills vs. Chiefs face-off. And the content of that video is going to make the Bills Mafia very unhappy. Will Josh Allen and Co. upset the Chiefs’ five AFC Championship playoff streak despite Mahomes’ challenge?

What do the Mahomes and Allen rivalry have in common with the Brady-Manning rivalry? A lot, it turns out. Could both current players be set to follow in the footsteps of the two legends who came before them?

A very intriguing question was posed to Mahomes. Two options were placed before him. “Would he rather be a hero at home or a villain on the road?” the host asked him in a video posted on X by Dov Kleiman. He wanted to know what gave Mahomes a more powerful adrenaline rush. Impressing Chiefs fans by winning at Arrowhead or defeating the Bills and making the Bills’ Mafia upset at Highmark Stadium?

Mahomes giggled as he said, “Oh man, I like to be the villain a little bit.” What’s unique about the Bills vs. Chiefs matchup is that he’ll have the chance to do precisely that. This is Mahomes’ first divisional playoff game that won’t be played at Arrowhead. As the two prepare for the game, Adam Schefter shared an eery post on X. “Eery” because the parallels between Mahomes and Allen and two other football greats are strikingly similar!

You’d actually think this was scripted. However, it’s not. Allow us to elaborate. The GOAT of football was 2-0 during his first two playoff games against Manning. What’s more, both victories had come at home games. Mahomes and Allen? Same story. Mahomes is 2-0, with both wins at Arrowhead. Now, here is where things get really interesting. Three patterns hint at an Allen victory.

Manning won his first playoff game against Brady on January 21, 2007. Fast forward 17 years, and Allen will face off against Mahomes on January 21, 2024. The Patriots‘ quarterback lost his first playoff against the Broncos‘ QB during his seventh season. And this is Mahomes’ seventh. And finally, Manning won for the first time during their third matchup, a home game. This is Allen vs. Mahomes’ third matchup, and it’s a home game for Allen.
