It was the season finale between the divisional rivals fighting for the top spot in the conference. Minnesota Vikings vs Detroit Lions! Not only the players but even the fans were pumped up. The Vikes wanted revenge at Ford Field while the home team needed a victory to finish with 1st seed in the NFC. What happened in the stands during the game crossed some boundaries. Family members of the visiting team players didn’t have a great experience, though.
Vikings OL Dalton Risner’s wife, Whitney Marie, shared the horrifying details of her visit to Ford Field on TikTok. Claiming that many fans heckled her, she added that some even touched her while calling out names. OL’s wife wrote, “Little did I know that I would be heckled, touched, and called names at last nights game by Detroit fans (simply for being Vikings fans).” She then congratulated her husband, who finished his 6th season in the league, and wished him luck for the playoffs.
