Cameras eagerly captured the moment when teenage sweethearts Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Mahomes shared a kiss on the sidelines before the quarterback returned to the field for his game. The intimate peck became a snapshot of their relationship as Mahomes, a two-time Super Bowl champion, paused to express affection before resuming his duties on the field.

Notably, eagle-eyed fans observed Mahomes discreetly wiping off the kiss. Now this raised a lot of questions. Later, it was speculated that Brittany Mahomes himself asked her husband to do so, because of the lipstick mark that’d have prevailed otherwise. Still, many fans appreciated the sweet gesture of love from the Chiefs’ shot caller, as the NFL aspires for such footage more.

Mahomes is quite “superstitious” about his pregame routine

Patrick Mahomes has talked about the things he usually does before a game in the docuseries, ‘Quarterback’. His routine hardly changes except for what he’s going to wear to the stadium. So he practices some things before the game and indulges himself in the warm-up drills. After that is done, Mahomes said, “I walk out to midfield; being a baseball player and superstitious, I try not to step on any lines or logos. From there, I’ll head to the opposing team’s end zone and I pray at the goalposts.”

After he’s done with his warm-up drills, he also revealed his lovely gesture he usually does before all of his games. He said, “Kiss Brittany and Sterling before heading back into the locker room.” Then he stated the last thing he does in his routine, and that is, “During the anthem, I stand at the 30 yard line. After the coin toss, I jog to the end zone that we are defending and (let out a primal scream).”
