The Las Vegas Raiders created history today by breaking a losing curse and scoring the highest number of points their franchise has ever done. The 63-21 landslide win against the LA Chargers symbolizes hope for the Raiders’ playoff dreams. The Chargers’ head coach, Brandon Staley, is not in a good mood. Staley and his team have a lot of self-reflection to do as they stray ahead of their playoff hopes.
In the wake of this loss, Staley came forth in a presser and gave his two cents about what went wrong for the Chargers. As for the Raiders, there might be some cigars that need lighting. The Chargers had a 42-0 deficit in the first half. Some fans are trolling him, and others are taking serious jabs at him.

The HC looked emotional as he appeared in front of the press. He mentioned it wasn’t a good game and how nothing went according to his and the team’s plan. Though he trusts his team, per him, it was just one of those days when winning was next to impossible.
Staley said the team played worst in the first half and was in “all three phases.” The coach also mentioned that he takes full responsibility for the loss today. When asked whether the team is putting the required effort into the game, the HC replied: “I don’t question the effort of our guys.”

When asked to clarify, the coach said, “I know those guys, have been with most of them for three years and I know them inside and out. I’m with them every single day. This is just a really bad game in the NFL where nothing goes right, everything goes wrong, and uh, you know, it’s the tough side of things.”
The coach also mentioned that there was no difference of opinion between him and the players on the team. It could be because of the absence of Justin Herbert and the seven inactive players that led to the doom of the Chargers tonight.

Per the coach, the team gave their all in the second half; however, some might still not be satisfied with the disappointing first half. The Chargers HC realized that there’s not much that can be done now, and he is focused on the next game against the Buffalo Bills.
The new QB, Easton Stick, was sacked thrice tonight and intercepted once. Though he tried to turn things around in the second half with his 3 TDs, there simply wasn’t enough time to cover a massive lead of 42 points. The Chargers are now 5-9 and fourth in the AFC West with a losing streak of 2.
