New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas found himself in hot water on Friday night when Kenner police arrested him. Witnesses in Kenner reported seeing Thomas being taken away by the police after allegedly throwing a brick at a contractor’s pickup truck. The incident unfolded following a dispute with a contractor working near Thomas’s home, as revealed by neighbors in Kenner’s Gabriel subdivision.

The aftermath of the alleged assault has sparked outrage, with the victim, who happened to be a fan of Thomas, recounting the attack. In an interview with WDSU, Cifuentes explained, “He [WR Michael Thomas] drives up, and I see him get out. I was like, I don’t know what he’s doing. I’m just worried about my job site. He walks up to this big pile of sand, grabs a brick, and throws it at my car. The guys are like, ‘Hey man, your truck, your truck!’ So, I’m like, ‘Oh dude, he’s actually doing something.’”

Cifuentes further stated that WR saw that he was recording, and snatched his phone: “I grabbed my phone and started recording him, and he saw that I was recording. He grabbed my phone, just grabbed and pushed me.”

Despite the arrest, the 30-year-old wide receiver is expected to play against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday. Michael Thomas, a three-time Pro Bowler, has been a key player for the Saints, consistently achieving over 1,000 receiving yards in successful seasons. The Saints, however, have not released an official statement regarding the incident.
